Our Crew
Our Crew: Who Works on Your Trees
The people who'll show up at your property, and what each of them does.
Every Job Has the Same Four Roles
Whether it's one small pruning job or a full day of removals, the work is shared between the same four roles. You'll know who's who when the crew arrives.
Arborist
Assesses trees, writes quotes and reports, spots disease and structural problems, and decides which cuts get made. Usually the first person you meet.
Climber
Works up in the tree with ropes and a harness, making pruning cuts and taking down sections of a removal. Trained in aerial rescue and safe rigging.
Ground Crew Lead
Runs the site from the ground: the ropes that lower heavy wood, the chipper, the traffic cones and the cleanup. Keeps the crew and your property safe.
Stump Grinder Operator
Runs the stump grinder, calls in utility locates, and backfills and levels the ground when the stump is gone.
Safety on Every Site
Tree work is one of the more dangerous trades, so every crew member wears proper protective gear: helmets, eye and hearing protection, and cut-resistant clothing for chainsaw work. Every job starts with a quick site briefing: where the wires are, where wood will land and where people should stay clear. We keep at least 3 metres from overhead lines, and leave trees that touch the street lines to the utility.
