Tree Care for Chippawa Homes and Lots

Chippawa is the village at the south end of Niagara Falls, where the Welland River flows into the Niagara River above the falls. Tree Service Niagara prunes, trims and removes trees here, grinds stumps and comes out after storms, with one crew handling the whole job. Call (289) 672-1630 to book a free estimate.

The first step is always a visit. We look at each tree's health, what it's growing near and how the crew can reach it, then put together a written quote that lists what we'd cut, what we'd leave and what it costs.

Local Trees, Local Conditions

Old village streets, riverside parkland and big trees along both rivers give Chippawa a lot of mature canopy. Wind sweeps up the wide upper Niagara River, and trees along the water and the parkway take the hardest hits in a storm. Many are oaks and maples old enough to have deadwood and weak forks. Storm cleanup and hanging-limb removal are common calls, and with oak wilt in the region, oaks here get winter pruning only.

Storms reach Chippawa with little to slow them down, so emergency tree removal after high winds and ice is a big part of what we do here.

Trees Like Yours

Trees near the lake take more wind than trees inland, and they take it from the open water side with nothing to break it. Over time that leaves lopsided crowns, wind-cracked forks and deadwood on the exposed side. Thinning the crown so wind passes through, and clearing out dead and weak limbs before storm season, does more to keep a lakeshore tree standing than anything else. Salt spray from winter roads adds stress to trees along the street.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Free Visit

We walk the property with you and look at every tree you're concerned about.

  2. 2

    Written Quote

Each tree and each job listed separately, with the price and how the wood and cleanup are handled.

  3. 3

    Rules Checked

Trees on public property are protected by the City's tree by-law. Niagara Falls has also handed small-woodland protection to the Region, so wooded areas on private land may be regulated. We check before any removal.

  4. 4

    The Work

Climbers and ground crew prune, trim or take down the tree, lowering wood on ropes where it can't fall freely, and checking for nests from spring to late summer.

  5. 5

    Cleanup

Branches chipped, wood cut, stacked or hauled away, and the yard raked before we go.

Pruning, Trimming and Removal

Most calls start with “I need a tree cut”, and the right answer depends on what you want. Trimming gets branches off the roof, the driveway or the view. Pruning keeps a tree healthy and strong: deadwood out, weak forks corrected, a heavy crown thinned. Removal is for trees that are dead, failing or in the wrong place, and stump grinding finishes the job. We'll tell you which your trees need, and we never recommend removal when pruning would do.
