Tree Care for Virgil Homes and Lots
Virgil is the farm-country heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where orchards and vineyards surround a village of family homes and big rural lots. Tree Service Niagara prunes, trims and removes trees here, grinds stumps and comes out after storms, with one crew handling the whole job. Call (289) 672-1630 to book a free estimate.
The first step is always a visit. We look at each tree's health, what it's growing near and how the crew can reach it, then put together a written quote that lists what we'd cut, what we'd leave and what it costs.
Local Trees, Local Conditions
Around Virgil, trees work for a living. Windbreak rows shelter the vines, fruit trees fill backyards and hobby farms, and big shade trees stand along the concession roads. Orchard-style pruning in the dormant season keeps fruit trees productive and a manageable height. Windbreaks need their deadwood cleared before it drops into the rows, and roadside trees need checking after every major storm.
Trees here are often old, large and close to the house, so tree pruning is the work we’re asked for most in Virgil.
Trees Like Yours
Rural properties come with bigger trees and more of them: fencerow maples, roadside oaks, windbreak spruce and pine, and woodlot edges. There's often room to fell a tree whole, which saves time and money, and the wood can be cut to firewood length and left for you. Dead ash along lanes and fences is the most common rural job we see, and it's worth doing before the tree falls across a driveway or into a field.

How It Works
- 1
Free Visit
We walk the property with you and look at every tree you're concerned about.
- 2
Written Quote
Each tree and each job listed separately, with the price and how the wood and cleanup are handled.
- 3
Rules Checked
Residents can't prune or remove Town trees. Private trees that are part of a woodland, even a small one, fall under the Region's woodland by-law here. Ordinary pruning isn't affected, and we check before any removal.
- 4
The Work
Climbers and ground crew prune, trim or take down the tree, lowering wood on ropes where it can't fall freely, and checking for nests from spring to late summer.
- 5
Cleanup
Branches chipped, wood cut, stacked or hauled away, and the yard raked before we go.
Pruning, Trimming and Removal
Most calls start with “I need a tree cut”, and the right answer depends on what you want. Trimming gets branches off the roof, the driveway or the view. Pruning keeps a tree healthy and strong: deadwood out, weak forks corrected, a heavy crown thinned. Removal is for trees that are dead, failing or in the wrong place, and stump grinding finishes the job. We'll tell you which your trees need, and we never recommend removal when pruning would do.
